Thank you for choosing Golden Country Motel and Caravan Park for your stay. We hope the following information helps you to have a fantastic stay.

Reception hours: 9.00 am to 6.00 pm daily
Check in time for sites: 12 midday to 6.00 pm
Check in times for Motels, Cabins and Villas: 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm
Check out: Strictly 10 am for all guests unless otherwise arranged with Park Management
Making a reservation
- Payment will be requested in full on check in.
- All reservations must be guaranteed at the time of making the booking by providing details of a current and valid credit card. The deposit amount for each room/site is the first night amount.
- By providing credit card details, you are authorising Golden Country Motel and Caravan Park, Maryborough to charge the cost of your booking to the credit card.
Park Information: General terms & conditions
Additional cleaning: May be required as a result of vomit or any other bodily waste, pet hair and bodily fluids. This will incur a cleaning and/or replacement fee relative to the costs and loss of revenue incurred. This may include professional cleaning or deep cleansing of carpets, curtains or in extreme cases, replacement of bedding (including mattress and base) or other soft furnishings.
Bed linen for single beds in cabins and villas: Linen is provided for the queen and double beds. Hire of bed linen and towels for single beds and bunks is $15 per bed per stay, or BYO.
Bicycles: are NOT permitted inside guest rooms. Locked storage is available for guests wishing to have their bicycles stored at their own risk.
Broken or damaged items/equipment: If you encounter any faulty equipment during your stay we would appreciate you advising reception staff. This would allow us to rectify the problem promptly thereby avoiding disappointing other guests. If for some reason you are dissatisfied about equipment or services at the park please do not hesitate to inform us. This feedback allows us to constantly improve our park complex and its services.
Cabin items: All items in the cabin such as crockery and cutlery are the responsibility of the cabin occupant. If you mix with groups, please ensure that whatever you take from your cabin is returned.
Camp kitchen: Fully equipped camp kitchen including reverse cycle air conditioner (please turn off when departing the room) available for use by all guests. Please wash, dry and put away your dishes after use. The camp kitchen door is locked. Please ask at reception for the code to open the door. The water in the camp kitchen is filtered for your enjoyment. Please feel free to re-fill your water bottles here.
Cancellations: Full refund if cancelling 7days or more prior to check in date. $50 administration fee applies if cancelling 2 days prior to check in. No refund if cancelling in the 2 days prior to check in. No refunds for early departures.
Management reserves the right to cancel/revoke a booking in the following circumstances
1. If a guest arrives to check-in in an intoxicated or disruptive state
2. Has not confirmed the booking or forwarded deposit monies by the required date
3. Fails to arrive within a reasonable time of the advised ETA, and after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the guest.
Candles: are NOT permitted to be lit inside rooms.
Cooking: – is strictly forbidden inside motel rooms with the exception of the appliances provided. Guests may not use any non-approved cooking appliances in rooms. Additional cleaning fees may apply should guests cook inside motel rooms. There is a fully equipped camp kitchen for the use of all guests. Please ask at reception for the door code
Chickens: We have some laying hens and they love food scraps (even leftover roast meats). We have a food scraps bucket under the herb garden stand just outside reception. Please pop your leftovers in the bucket and close the lid.
Communal gardens: We have some gardens around the park where everyone is welcome to help themselves to the vegetables and herbs. You will find rosemary, sage, thyme, coriander etc.
Damage: any damage, breakages, theft or losses are the full responsibility of the registered guest for the duration of their stay.
Dining options: If dining at the Maryborough Golf “Fairways Bistro”, present your room/ensuite key when ordering to receive a 10% discount.
Dump point: There is a dump station in the park for guest use only. See park map for location
Extra beds: We do not have rollaway or sofa beds or divans. No additional bedding including swags, inflatable mattresses etc is permitted in our rooms.
Extra persons: the number of guests in a room/cabin must not exceed the fixed sleeping positions for each room/cabin. Should extra persons be found in the room/cabin, other than guests registered as staying in the room/cabin, this may result in the booking being terminated and all persons being required to leave the complex without refund.
Fires are not permitted within the grounds of the caravan park.
Guest age: guests must be 18 years of age or older to make a booking and stay at Golden Country Motel and Caravan Park, Maryborough.
Keys: Please return keys to the “Key box” beside reception (lift flap and drop key in) or pop into reception if open. Lost keys incur a $20 replacement fee.
Jumping pillow: The jumping pillow is open during daylight hours and when not wet or raining. All users must be supervised at all times by an adult. Please adhere to the jumping pillow rules at all times.
Laundry: 2 coin operated washing machines and 2 coin operated driers available, plus iron and ironing board in the laundry room. Please see staff at reception for $1 and $2 coins. Clothesline is located behind the laundry and quiet room
Noise: For the comfort of all guests no undue noise is permitted between 10:00pm and 8:00am. Excessive noise and rowdy parties will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Any such behaviour will result in eviction from these premises and forfeiture of any fees paid. A strict ZERO TOLERANCE NOISE AND PARTY POLICY applies.
Pets: Pets are most welcome – fees apply. Dogs and cats are permitted throughout the park, in motel rooms and cabins, as well as the en-suite caravan sites. Most other pets are not permitted. Please discuss with staff at reception.
To ensure that you enjoy your stay with all of our other guests, we must ask all pet owners to take full responsibility for their pet and ensure they do not disturb other guests when on the property.
Please read the information below to ensure you and your pet can meet the following conditions:
- Please discuss bringing your pet at the time of making your booking
- Please ensure your pet is up to date with their vaccinations
- When in the park, dogs must be kept on leash and under voice control at all times
- Under no circumstances are pets permitted in the camp kitchen, laundry, Quiet room, swimming pool area, jumping pillow area.
- We ask that you please pick up any mess made by your pet. Please provide your own “poo bags”. You will find 2 doggy bag dispensers around the park; one at the raised garden at reception, the other at the entrance to the off leash area.
- No undue barking or yapping please
- Pets are not permitted to be left unattended within the park
- Pets are not permitted on the furniture or bedding.
- Please provide your own pet beds and feeding bowls.
- A charge of $250 applies where there is any physical evidence or residual odour which indicates that the animal has vomited, urinated or defecated inside a guest room.
- We have on off-leash area next to the park.

Any breaches of the above conditions may result in early departure and forfeiture of refund
Playground: We have a small children’s playground within park. Children must be supervised at all times.
Quiet room: TV, reverse cycle air conditioner (please turn off when departing the room) many books to swap and read, comfortable furniture
Rubbish and rubbish collection: Please do not overfill the bins or leave rubbish outside your motel room/cabin/caravan. There are 3 recycle stations (separate glass bottles, plastic bottles, can and paper/cardboard please) and 14 rubbish bins throughout the park. All rubbish bins (and recycle bins every 2 weeks) are collected from the park during Sunday for collection by council on Monday morning.
Smoking: As we continue to promote a pleasant environment for all guests, there is to be no smoking in the park owned accommodation and communal facilities. (These include swimming pool, camp kitchen, BBQ area, laundry, TV room) Please dispose of butts correctly and sensibly.
Smoking of any description (including vaping) is not allowed inside any of our motel rooms and cabins. A charge of $250 applies where there is any physical evidence or residual odour which indicates that smoking of any form has taken place inside a guest room.
Speed and direction of travel: The speed limit is walking pace or 5km/hr throughout the park at all times. Drive and cycle in a clockwise direction. Please wear a helmet if cycling, scooting etc.
Supervision of children: Children must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the camp kitchen, BBQ area, jumping pillow and swimming pool.
Swimming pool: The swimming pool is seasonal and is for guest use only, open from 8am, closes late. No glass in the pool area at all. No pets in the pool area. All children under 12 or any person who cannot swim must be accompanied by an able adult. Please adhere to the swimming pool rules at all times.
Trees: around the park are inspected regularly. Trees and branches may still fall. Persons entering the park do so at their own risk. No responsibility will be accepted for personal or property damage.
Vehicles: Only one car per site/room/cabin/villa. If you have a 2nd vehicle or a trailer, please discuss your parking options when making your booking.

Emergency Information:
In the event of an emergency, follow directions from staff to assembly point, located on the nature strip in front of the motel brick fence.
Close all doors and windows before you leave if time permits. Take valuables with you if safe to do so. Please notify staff IMMEDIATELY if you notice an emergency or near emergency situation, such as gas leak or fire.
